You can quote me on that
If you're a Linux nerd, then you are probably aware of the program called 'fortune'. When run, it offers some gen from its database of quotes, like so:

Will LINUX ever overtake sliced bread as the #1 achievement of mankind?
This has led some nerds to keep their own quotes file on whatever interests them. I keep two quotes files, a general one containing insightful or witty sayings that I encounter on the internet:. Such sayings as:
Don't worry about avoiding temptation -- as you grow older, it starts avoiding you.
-- The Old Farmer's Almanac
I also keep a quotes of useful financial sayings, and it's worthwhile reviewing such quotes from time-to-time. Here's one from my finance quotes text file:
Leverage absolutely cannot be equated to the contribution to return
that comes from skill in selecting investments -- Howard Marks
Maybe you'd like to keep a quotes file, too. And remember: keep it short, for pithy's sake.

Why can't I help but feel you wrote this post just so you could inflict that punchline upon us all?!

Lol. I am indeed a shining wit, as Mr. Spooner would say.
